Stainless steel Kimblewick bit with Elliptical mouth piece in 16mm
The kimblewick offers a variety of pressure points: the port pushes against the roof of the mouth if needed, whilst allowing the tongue to move.
The D-shaped rings can function as lever arms if the reins are placed at the bottom. The elliptical link is a softer link as it has no sharp sides and the joint creates less of an angle with the rest of the mouthpiece.
The elliptical joint is an oval shaped link in the center of the mouthpiece, which is movable and rolls around the stainless steel center. The two joints allow the pressure of the bit is distributed over both the tongue and bars of the mouth and it shouldn’t cause any interference with the roof of the mouth. The link uses tongue pressure to encourage the horse to go on the bit and lower the head.
